Meet Your Photographer

MY STORY

Hi, I’m Sophie, a wedding photographer based in Hertfordshire, just outside of London, capturing weddings across the UK and beyond. My photography journey started with a love for fashion and creativity. I studied Creative Direction at university with world-class photo studios and spent five years in commercial photography, shooting for artists like Craig David and Aurora.

Three years ago, I made the shift to wedding photography, and it’s been an absolute dream. Weddings combine everything I love - capturing beauty, emotion, and unforgettable moments. I’m passionate about making my couples feel incredible on their day, like royalty, while also keeping the process stress-free.

I’m a problem solver at heart, helping everything run smoothly so you can focus on what matters. And while I’ll be behind the camera, you won’t feel like you’re always in front of it. I believe in capturing real, beautiful moments that reflect who you truly are.

Being a wedding photographer combines my love for creativity, helping people, and making sure every couple feels amazing. I’d be honoured to capture your special day!

Giving back through creativity

Outside of my work as a photographer, I’m deeply committed to using my skills and creativity to support causes close to my heart. I volunteer regularly at Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary, where I care for abandoned and blind horses, grooming them and offering them the gentle attention they deserve. I also spend time with the sanctuary’s donkeys, providing companionship and comfort. One of my favourite summer activities there is playing my guitar to the animals, using music to soothe and connect with them in a way that words can’t.

I’m also a long-term supporter and volunteer for Manywa Initiative for Children, a charity focused on transforming children’s lives in the forgotten village of Manywa, Uganda. Over the years, I’ve organised charity events, travelled to Uganda to help at the school, and fundraised for projects that continue to support the children there. Staying in touch with the organisers, I remain involved with the ongoing initiatives, ensuring that my contribution continues to make a difference.

For me, giving back is more than just an act - it’s a natural extension of my creative work. Whether it’s through photography, music, or organising events, I believe in using my talents to help others and create positive change in the world. It's these experiences that keep me grounded and remind me why I do what I do.
